I would like to express my deepest condolences to the family of Tanika Dupree during this most difficult time. May you find comfort from the words of our loving Heavenly Father at Revelation 21:3, 4. He promises to 'wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.' May you find comfort by 'throwing all your burden on God, because he cares for you.' (1 Peter 5:7)

When you think that life may have shown you most of the things you can see, then something like this happen, to shock you to the point of disbelief. I am in a state where, the pain is so intense and strong, it is impossible for me to process the information, and more difficult, to believe it and accept it. I have seen many depart for the new world, but I have never been so less prepared for this one. I accidentally learned of Tanika's passing on Wednesday May 10th, less than a week ago. I did not want to believe it. So I started to check online, and shock is a lesser word to describe my feelings and emotions. And I could and can only say "Why my God? Why? It is still does not feel real to me. I would not have been caught so off guard, had lightning strike on a dry sunny day.
Tanika was the most genuine person I have ever met. She had a compassionate and generous heart, and would give to people all she had, if it could help them. She also was very ambitious for herself and her family. She wanted to succeed for all of them also, and she enrolled in college to fulfill her aspirations and dreams. She had so many plans for the future. We last spoke on March 16th through sms about how close she was moving towards graduation. But God had other plans. I still cannot believe she is gone. I just can't wrap my psyche around that fact. I feel numb and can't stop crying. She talked so much love about her family, particularly her mom, and as she always pointed out, she was the baby sister. And she was much loved as well by her siblings. I want to state to the family and us her extended family, as friends are, my most saddened and heartfelt painful condolences. What gives me a slight hint of comfort, is to know that she is in a better place now, living freely and happily as ever, surrounded by her departed family. For us though, the pain will endure until the last days of our lives. Not having had the opportunity to say goodbye, and to learn about what she was going through, is a pain that will remain for ever. Rest In Peace my very dear friend, and May The Lord Welcomes you with loving embrace, enchanted by that broad smile that never leaves your face. So long Tanika, until I see you again.

I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Tanika. I have had the pleasure of being fellow classmate with her at Lincoln College of New England where she was learning to become an occupational therapy assistant. Even though our friendship was brief, I will always have fond memories with her, and they're huge water bottle she gave me as a gift for no reason. Her heart was pure and so she shall be remembered for that. My condolences to her family.

With deepest sympathy,
Wishing you peace and comfort in the days ahead......... Tanika was a beautiful person and had a lovely spirit. I met her in school and her personality and spirit was so moving and powerful. She always gave me words of encouragement to move forward and to stay strong. She was filled with compliments and laughter. I will miss her and that beautiful smile.
We may have lost someone special, but we gained an ANGEL.

Ms. Neal & Family,

As a childhood friend of the family, my family and I extend our deepest condolences to you all. Although as the years went by we didn't grow to be adult friends, Tanika and I had something in common, thirst for knowledge and zest for life. Tanika is best remembered by me as having a pure heart and being a straight shooter (she told it how it was and how it needed to be heard) and I have always respected her for that. I pray that she sleeps in peace with God and that God blankets you all in his arms so that you may find peace with her departure from this world.

With kind regards and Sorrow,
Verniece Fulford (Green)
