Ronald Wayne Briggs was born on August 20th 1965, to Tessie Briggs and James Briggs. He was a lifelong Staten Islander who departed this life on November 30th, 2022.  He was raised in New Brighton where he forged lifelong relationships with several members of the community.  He attended Curtis High School as well as Wagner High School.  It was becoming a grounds keeper that made him realize his affinity for working with his hands. From that point on he knew that he wanted to be a Tradesmen and entrepreneur.  Over his lifetime he honed his skills learning many trades such as Carpentry, Electrical and Plumbing.  He had mastered residential general contracting which led him to work for and with several residents of Staten Island as well as help family and friends.  In life as well as in business he tried to be fair and honest with a strong sense of family and community.  Through hard work and dedication, he forged long term relationships with his clients as well as his fellow tradesmen.  They trusted he could get the job done no matter how big or small.

Ronald was a loving and loyal man as well as a proud father. Ronald was a loving father to his three children Natasha Lewis, Jordan Briggs and Marc Lewis (In Heaven) as well as grandfather to Hayden and Nevaeh Lewis.  He also was a father figure to many others. He would always say “I love all my babies”. He cherished each and every moment he spent with all his babies.

Ronald was an intelligent and charismatic man.  To know him was to love him.  He would go above and beyond for those he considered friend or family.  He embodied the true meaning of Honor, Loyalty and Respect which made him a rare gem this day and age.  He enjoyed fellowship with friends and family, often cooking, barbequing and playing dominoes. He was there for whoever needed him offering his best advice.  He was considered a problem solver. If he considered, you family or friend you could always count on him to have your back.

Ronald made so many lifelong connections with people from all walks of life. He was loved by many, and his presence will truly be missed. He will be remembered for his commanding presences, his compassionate heart, his unwavering loyalty, his sense of humor, the list could go on.  Now he is with his son Marc and loved ones in eternal peace.

Ronald’s memory will be cherished by his surviving children -Natasha Lewis, Jordan Briggs, grandchildren- Hayden and Nevaeh Lewis, the mother of his children – Cenith Lewis, his sister- Rhonda Scott Fairley, his nieces- Tameka Briggs Holmes, Rhonda Briggs, Sheena Dixon and Shawnee Biggers, his nephews-Aurthor Fairley, Anthony Fairley, Adam Fairley, James Briggs, Stanley Biggers Jr., Paris Miles, Tyron Briggs, his longtime partner Mary Ledbetter and family as well as a host of loved ones.
