Vernon Wallace peacefully went home to be with the Lord at his residency on Sunday, April 21, 2019. He was born June 30, 1967 in Staten Island, NY to the late Vernon P. Wallace and the late Janice Etheridge. Vernon was employed at Indigo 141 in East Orange for many years as the head supervisor of the Security team. Later he began to focus solely on his passion to encourage and strengthen the lives of others by speaking at seminars as he spoke about the change that he made in his life. Vernon was also known as the brother, uncle cousin and friend who enjoyed spending time with everyone, If there was a family function, he was there, whether it be a cook-out, graduation, birthday celebration or just an outing with his brothers at the Barclay Center, he was there. Family was his number one prize. Vernon had a special gift in making anyone who was having a bad day smile or laugh. He brought laughter to everyone.
Vernon has always had a heart to help everyone that he was in contact with. If he could not help, he would try to recommend someone who could. He was known for his sarcasm and sense of humor. He graduated from Martin Van Buren High School in New York and shortly after he attended Queensborough Community College.
