Michael "Lowkey" Wood

Michael James Wood, age 36, passed away on September 21st, 2018. Born on December 15th, 1981 in Staten Island, New York, Mr. Wood spent his life between two prominent Neighborhoods in Staten Island- Stapleton and West Brighton. As expressed by many family members and friends, Mr.Wood had a heart of gold and could make anyone laugh whether it be a stranger or relative. There was never a dull moment with him. Mr. Wood enjoyed drawing, cooking and watching the food network channel. Aside from his hobbies, when it came time to spending time with his nieces and nephews, Michael was the go to uncle to be around. Michael loved his family unconditionally. Mr.Wood is survived by his Mother Denise Briggs; Father James Wood; maternal Grandmother Beatrice Green; fraternal Grandmother Flossie McKnight; three Brothers Ramon Briggs, Anthony Briggs and Davon Briggs; two Sisters Latasha Briggs, and Shakeema Thompson; seventeen nieces and nephews and many cousins, aunts and uncles. Family, friends, and others who wish to join the celebration of life for Michael James Wood are invited to Stradford Funeral Home, 1241 Castleton Avenue Staten Island, New York 10310, from 7pm-9pm on Thursday October 11th, 2018 for the wake and 10am-12pm on Friday October 12th, 2018 for the home going. It is encouraged for all of those touched by Michael's presence to come out and support each other in this time of need.
