Ramona Williams, lovingly knows as Monie, was born on July 17th, 1967 in Staten Island NY. She was the daughter of Ernestine Williams and Otis Jenkins. She was raised in Mariners Harbor and later established her roots in The Bronx
Ramona graduated from Port Richmond High School. While attending high school she was a student intern at NYS Youth Opportunity Program; where she worked as a secretary assistant. She was later unanimously selected & promoted to the position of interim program supervisor.
Ramona lived in Georgia briefly before settling down in The Bronx. She also worked as a direct support assistant for the mentally challenged. She enjoyed working since she DID NOT PLAY ABOUT GETTING HER MONEY.
Ramona would tell you that her proudest and biggest accomplishment was giving birth to her daughter Ramona Shawnette.
Ramona was an amazing cook, who had a deep love for music. She enjoyed roller skating, handball and playing cards. She loved to play bingo, take trips to the casino, and dancing whenever and where ever. She would make trips back to Staten Island to visit family and friends.
Ramona is survived by her daughter Ramona Shawnette, Sisters: Inez, Celestine, and Katicha. Step-sisters: Takeena and Leticia and Step-brothers Eugene and Maurice. She was the fond Aunt to nieces Shequania, Tyneequa, Waliyda, Karima, and Muhjah and nephews Dyshawn and Musani. She has 3 great-nieces and 7 great-nephews
Preceded in death is her beloved Mother Ernestine and Father Otis. As well as her loving companion Ernesto Duff.
Ramona was loved by many and will be missed by all.
