Loretta Cooper, (nee, Blackwell) was called home on September 13, 2023.
She was born on Feb 17, 1935, to Mary Frances Williams and Harold
Blackwell Sr. of Haverstraw, NY.
Loretta was blessed with a large family. She was educated within the
public school system and re-located to Staten Island, NY where she met
and married Kenneth Cooper Sr, ~ From their union 3 children were born.
Her talents were many and as a creative person she loved fishing,
arts-n-crafts and taking care of family. Her first love of fishing inspired
her to create her company Fish-N-Fun. The name says it all.
Her motto: Give a man a fish, and you feed
him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.”
She had a keen eye for creating center pieces, wreaths, birthday and
holiday items. She would see something and create something just for
you. She displayed a wonderful knack for her taking care of people and
always had time to give. If you needed a place to live or food to eat,
clothes to wear - she made sure her home was always open.
Loretta worked hard and retired from the US Postal Service, where she
held several positions. She truly lived life to the fullest through simple
pleasures; chatting with friends and family, spending time with her nieces
and nephews. She truly loved her family.
She will be missed by many and leaves to celebrate her beautiful life,

Raschel Cooper-Isaac (husband: Donnell Isaac)
3 great-grandchildren: Daniel Cooper, Latrell and Marquis Thompson and

a host of nieces, and nephews, cousins, special friends and fishing family.
