LeVance “TeeDee” Singletary, age 72 went to be with Lord on Wednesday, October 20th,2021 in Staten Island, NY.   He was born on October 2nd, 1949 in Lumberton, NC to parents Lizzie Bell Jones and Avance Singletary.  He graduated from South Lumberton Jr/Sr High School.   He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and Army Reserves.  After serving in the military he lived in North Carolina, Florida and Harlem, NY before finally settling down in Staten Island NY.  Levance earned an associate degree in Business. He held various jobs that included, airplane mechanic, security, construction worker and had his own business, as a street vendor.   Besides English, he was fluent in Spanish and French and held a black belt in Judo Taekwondo.   Levance loved family, he looked forward to the family reunions and getting the chance to see all his, siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Most of his time was spent with his daughter/caregiver, Shaquttia Davis and watching old westerns and science fiction movies. He also enjoyed visits with his niece Charlene Taylor and  good friend Tonya Walker.  He was a member of First Central Baptist Church in Staten Island,NY.   His family and friends will always remember his generous heart and funny disposition especially the one liners he would come up with. Levance is survived by his daughter, Shaquttia Davis, Staten Island, NY seven siblings, Carrie Herring, Tallahassee, FL, Millie Parham, Beaver Falls, PA, Sarah Jean Williams, Tampa, FL, Lilian, (Kenny) Bowens Williamstown, NJ, Darnell Singletary,  Charlotte  NC Roscoe Singletary, Staten Island, NY,  Ike,(Jean) Singletary, Orlando, FL and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was proceeded in death by his parents, Avance and Lizzie Singletary, older brother, Avance Singletary, Jr,  and three brother in laws, Melvin Herring, Clarence Parham and Richard Williams.
