Kaseem Scott Obituary
Kaseem Rayvon Scott was born on December 5, 1994 to the late Shanda F. Scott and Scottie Hawkins in Staten Island, New York. Kaseem was born and raised as a native Staten Islander. Throughout his youth, he spent his time building friendships, and playing video games in the Arlington and Mariner’s Harbor neighborhoods. He attended Staten Island public schools, including Port Richmond High School.
Kaseem will be remembered as a fun-loving young man who had a love for music, writing rhymes, and spending time with friends and family making them laugh with his great sense of humor. In his younger years, he had the chance to demonstrate his athleticism when he played football for the Staten Island Bandits, which he loved.
Kaseem contributed to teams and worked several jobs during his short life. He had a few job experiences that involved working with and guiding children. These included his work with students at P.S. 22 as a counselor, and his roles at Chuck E Cheese and the Police Athletic League. He also worked for a short time with FedEx.
Kaseem was loved by many. He was kind in spirit with a loving soul, he was generous, and very loyal. His memory will be forever cherished in the lives of his family. Kaseem is survived by his father Scottie Hawkins, his maternal grandfather Michael Hamilton, his paternal grandmother Thomasine Hawkins, and two brothers Scottie Hawkins Jr, and Justin Hawkins. His five aunts Delitha Hamilton, Andrea Hamilton, Tisha Woods, Gail Watson, and Theodora Cross. His uncles Yasin Abdur Rashid, Dot Marcus Brown, Michael Woods, and Marcus Bel, and great uncle Kurt Hamilton. One niece Riley Hawkins, one nephew Ryan Hawkins and a host of cousins and friends.
