Gwendolyn "Margie" Nelson died of complication due to

cancer on Monday, January 3, 2022 at Richmond Center

for Rehabilitation on Staten Island, New York.

Gwendolyn "Margie" was born on October 12, 1945 on

Staten Island, New York to Rev. William Nelson and Evelyn

(Daniels) Nelson. She attended Ralph McKee Vocational and

Technical High School. She worked for Wollowbrook State

School and other state ran facilities for over 40 years.

Gwendolyn "Margie" was a loving sister and aunt. She

enjoyed spending time with her family. She had a nack

for remembering every family members birthdays. She was

affectionately called Aunt Marg. She had a pleasant personality

and good sense of humor. She will be missed by many.

Gwendolyn "Margie" is survived by her sister Evelyn Levine-

Keith of Charlotte, North Carolina, nieces, nephews, and a

host of family members.

She is preceded in death by her parents Rev William Nelson and

Evelyn Nelson; her sisters Rosalyn Nelson, Theresa Johnson,

Maxine Winfield, and Patricia Nelson; her brothers William

Nelson Jr, and Frederick Nelson.
