Edna enjoyed cooking; her fried Chicken Wings was the best. She also enjoyed making Turkey Wings, Grill Cheese, Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup and she enjoyed drinking a big cup of Tea with Carnation Milk. Edna enjoyed watching Baseball and Football, when her sons were old enough to play, she signed them up to play on the West Brighton teams along with her little cousin Anthony Jackson, nickname JR, which she claimed as her son. She also enjoyed Music, Dancing, Playing Cards, Braiding Hair and going to the Club Shadow with her friend Erika Cooper.
Edna would open her home to family and friends needing a place to rest or feed you if hungry. She also remembered everyone’s birthday in the family. Edna had a special love for her children and grandchildren, she was so elated when she became a grandmother. When Ajane was born, she was glued to Edna’s hip - even after her mother relocated out of state, Ajane would come back to New York and spend every summer with her grandmother as a little girl.
Edna loved all her family however, she had a special place in her heart for her cousins Sharon and Barry Underwood and her cousin whom she called (My Cat Cat ) Catherine and Tony Rouse and her caretaker Gloria.
