Delores Mosley, age 81, died of cancer on August 7, 2022, in Staten Island, NY. Delores was born on January 7, 1941, in Norfolk, Va., to parents William and Emma Elliott. She spent her early years in Norfolk, VA, where she attended school and was around family.

 In 1960, at age 19, she married Ernest Mosley, who was in the US Army. Delores had five (5) children and eventually relocated to New York City with her siblings. Where she graduated from the University of The State of New York and worked at Rio Cleaners with her sister Barbara. Also working primarily as a bartender and small business owner. She would stay in New York City until her passing.

Delores was a social and active woman who was deeply involved in her community for much of her life. She enjoyed, music, working and family time. Her family and friends will always remember her as happy spirited person. She had a very exciting life filled with family, friends, and activities.

Delores leaves behind her sons Anthony Elliott, Tyrone Mosley, and daughter Sonya Brown. Her brothers Melvin Elliott, Leon Elliott, Charles Elliott, sisters Barbara Brown and Yvonne Williams. Along with four grandchildren Shamekia Peterson, Iyechia Fagin, Tiffany Fagin and Shatara Fagin, eighteen great grandkids and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ernest Mosley, parents William and Emma Elliott, brothers William Jr and George, her sister Jean, her son Nathaniel, and daughter Angela.
