Crystal’s Life
Crystal was born a star and was known to be the life of every party. She was fun loving, loved to travel, cook, decorate, take pictures, swim, and dance to music like no was in the room but her. She loved to socialize rather it was on Facebook, Facetime, visiting or if you seen her face to face, she would give you much love and always made you smile. When she got dressed up to go out; she owned it! Everything had to be right from head to toe and she always wore red lipstick which complimented her signature smile. She was a star in front of cameras; she had a million-dollar smile; and was very photogenic. She was the ultimate meaning of charisma, style, had the gift of gab, she was the black Marilyn Monroe! when she made her entrance her beauty and charisma was immediately felt; her energy was like an ultimate rush she would keep you laughing and keep you spending until you noticed you were broke (LOL). For some reason spending and treating her was okay given the amount of energy, laughter spent with her you enjoyed the good time shared anyway. She was a true legend in her time.
In Port Richmond is where her story begins, yet there are too many to share her stories will never end. Living in Port Richmond for most of our life from, Maple Street, Sharpe Ave, Avenue B, Richmond Terrance, Faber Street, and lastly Ann Street too! For those who knew her way back when, raise your hands if you remember Faber pool, playing spades in veterans park, or going to Port Richmond Avenue time and time again. Remembering the races we had in the middle of the street, playing stick ball or dancing on our porch or even in our hall. Remembering the cookouts, riding bikes. or playing miss- Mary Mack! Hopscotch, while singing Ah Beep Beep Beep (walking down the street) like we were the Wu Tang Crew! We were the little African dancers from Port Richmond our oldest sister Pumkin brought us to talent shows as she taught us how to dance too. Remembering the house parties in the Attic that we snuck in, and the elders ran us out and we tried it again.
She adored family and friends just look her up on fakebook all her memories through pictures tells her story as well. I will miss the visits, our talks, laughing crazy out loud, the red lipstick, and that beautiful smile. The comic sense and good times we had as we remember the heartfelt memories for her leaving us is sad. And let us not forget those random moments, some good, some bad or rather hairy situations that she has never shared. I am sure those of you who knew her have a story or two that you can tell. She was fun to be around but was confidential as well, rest assure she kept it real on things you may have shared those things she has saved she kept it in her memory box and took it to her grave.

Crystal spent many summers in North Carolina visiting her sisters, family, and
friends. We sometimes surprise her and bring her to a nearby Hilton to enjoy some
swimming and relaxation in a hot jacuzzi. She loved to travel going to Virginia
Beach eating out at seafood restaurants was her thing! We even rented a vacation
home in Florida that she absolutely, enjoyed. To know her is to love her and to
travel with her was a blast due to her comic sense she would keep everyone
laughing all the way there as well.
When her health started to decline, she could not visit or you did not see her as much, so she either called you by phone, facetime or left a nice comment on your FB wall. Keeping in touch was so important to her if she didn’t hear from you, she would reach out to you to your family members just to check on you.
