Candi Alaysha Bumbrey was born was born in 1981 in Staten Island, NY to Patti Bumbrey and Harold L. Bumbrey Jr. Candi attended P.S. 57 elementary school, I.S. 61 middle school, and graduated from Curtis High School, all located in Staten Island, NY.

Candi was a very kind and compassionate person which was showcased throughout her many years working as a health aide.  Candi most enjoyed being a mother to her son Xavier Bumbrey whom was the light of her life.  She loved to watch movies, play games and dance with him.  Candi was also her mother’s co-pilot in the kitchen, where they would often cook amazing dinners.  She was an extremely loving daughter and will truly be missed.

Candi departed this life on February 15, 2024 at 42 years of age. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother Maryetta Boyd, uncles Craig Brown, Eric Johnson Sr. and cousin Gerard Harris. She leaves behind to mourn: her son Xavier Bumbrey, her parents Patti Bumbrey and Step-Father Jimmy Williams, sisters Michelene Bumbrey, Cassi Bumbrey, and Deidra Bumbrey (Nicole Martone), brother Harold L. Bumbrey III, nieces Justina Povitch, Nylah Bumbrey, and SadieRose Bumbrey, nephews Devonce Bumbrey, Maximillion Bumbrey, and Damien Bumbrey, Aunt Roslyn Johnson, cousins Eric Johnson Jr., Craig Johnson, CaSandra Harris, Devon Harris, Zenzi Boone, Shoni Radcliffe, and Sauti Williams, her best friend Kia Garnett, as well as a host of extended family members and dear friends.
