Beverly Ann Jones-Bird was born on April 10, 1942 in the County of Jefferson in
Steubenville, Ohio. She was a very kind, and loving gentle soul. She had a wonderful sense of
humor and was very smart.
Beverly was always reading her bible as she loved the word! She loved gardening, reading and
giving to charity.
Beverly earned her High School Diploma and obtained College courses in New York City.
She worked for 30+ years as a business representative for Verizon.
Her professionalism and compassion are what she was also known for.
She retired and helped raise and nurture her only granddaughter.
When Beverly suffered with illnesses and a heart condition, her granddaughter was able to
take care of her. They had so many good times together. April-Sasha and Mom went on many
granny/granddaughter cruises, and traveled around the globe together. They have a special
bond that will never be broken.
Beverly was predeceased by her parents Pecolgier Hawkins-Jones and Cornell Jones. Her
brother Cornell Jones Jr. and sister Brenda Winifred Jones. Her late Husband Harvey Bird
and 10 plus half sisters and brothers some whom are deceased.
Beverly leaves behind a son Harvey Bird whom she loved most dearly, a daughter Gwendolyn
Bird-Sinclair, Son-in Law Allen Riley Sinclair, Granddaughter April-Naomi Ann Sasha
Sinclair, family pet named Cleo, sister-in-law’s, Niece Lateshia Jones-Walker and her husband
Darnell Walker, great nephew Lance, great niece Raven, Cousin Patricia Gaffney, Cousin
Shelia Robinson-Hendrick’s family, great cousin Jania Niara Hawkins, and a host of
family/friends along with the sisters and brothers from Silver Queen Chapter #43 who will all
cherish her memory.
