Feelings change, emotions rise and fall, but God loves, and he remains my anchor through any weather!”- Words known, and demonstrated by Mrs. Ann Theresa (Pollard-Quashie)Thomas.
Our beloved “Annie”, as she is affectionately known, was called home at sunset on October 13, 2021. She is survived by her loving husband Eugene Thomas, who finds peace in their 46 years of marriage, and divine truth as she knew it.
As a dedicated mother, and "spine" to her family, Ann demonstrated resilience for her two children, and gave a strong sense of direction to her grand-children. She glowed as a newly crowned great-grandmother, and to all of her siblings, she was fierce, loyal and protective. She was born on October 24, 1952 on the beautiful twin-island of Trinidad and Tobago, migrating to Brooklyn in the early 1990’s. She touched other lives as a nurturing aunt, dependable niece, kind in-law, and compassionate friend.
Ann was a truly graceful, bright, proud, and supportive soul, who worked ambitiously to advance her family, and dreams in the U.S. To her colleagues, and classmates, Ann was a mentor, and represented leadership and transparency. She created a blueprint for pushing past adversity, and distinguished herself as committed and charismatic; graduating "Magna Cum Laude", from Medgar Evers College at age 52.
Ann will remain in the hearts of the Quashies, Pollards, Harrilals, Bruce, Bobbs, Letrens, Nixon and Bienen Families forever.
