Paul Isaiah Hall Rhanes was born on October 23, 1980 in New York and was the only child to the late Esther Jane Metts Rhanes. Esther Jane served in the United States Army and while stationed in St Petersburg VA, she married Anthony Rhanes.  Upon her untimely departure, at the age of seven Paul went to live with his Aunt and Uncle Carolyn and Darrell Starkey. During his life, Paul’s upbringing was also influenced by his Aunt Mary Alice Johnson and his Grandmother, the Late Essie Mae Pollock. All of whom where lovingly known as his “Moms”.

In 1998 Paul graduated from Curtis High School and went on to attend New York Institute of Technology.  Over the years, Paulie as he was affectionately known by, strived in several careers before finding his place in the construction industry.  In 2016 Paul relocated to Florida to reconnect with the Rhanes Family.

On Tuesday, November 7, 2017 the Lord called our beloved Paul home.  He leaves to cherish his loving memory his two Aunts Carol Starkey and Mary Johnson; Uncles Darrell Starkey, Robert Harley, Hassan and Joseph Metts; Cousins Adream Starkey, Stephanie Starkey, Maleika Harley, Lamont Metts, Wanda Metts, Tijuana Johnson, Katina Cassaberry, John Cassaberry, Danielle and Antione Morales, Avery Parker and Simeon Rhanes. The Rhanes Family, Cheryl and Paul Hall and a host of cousins, godchildren, extended family and countless friends.
