Mittie Dotson aka Iris Dotson passed away at the age of 75 on December 28 2017, at Home in Harlem New York due to Heart Attack. Mittie/Iris was born on Jan/03/1942, in Brooklyn,New York to Hiram and Iva Brooks. She grew up with 9 siblings, Sisters: Edna,Othello,Glennnie-adj.,and Thelia-adj.. Brothers: Hiram,James-adj,Alfred,Albert and Willis and she spent much of her childhood enjoying Sleigh riding,Camping and playing Softball and going to the Movies, during their childhood /upbringing together. Mittie /Iris graduated from Mckee H.S in 1959 and went to PS 17 in New Brighton Staten Island . She worked at Willowbrook State School for the Mentally Disabled for a number of years and later on went into Child Care which lead to a career move to become a Supervisor at the Mission of the Immaculate Virgin Mount Loretto group home Facilities , Which she had a passion in helping out being an Extension Mom which was had an impact on people. Mittie/Iris Dotson married James R Dotson in May 1964, and they are the Parents of Darrin Dotson, Robert , extended Shaborn and Doris and God-son/Nephew Kawan, They all have a disparity of accomplishments and life passions , that they are proud about.

Mittie /Iris was incredibly passionate and proud of her family. She is survived by Her children mentioned including Grandchildren Jasmine,Jaiquin and Son jr.,Sasha, Carlos and Elizabeth. Nieces:Denise ,Regina, Susan,Jeannine,Sharifah and Iva , in laws: Renee, Patricia, Linda, Sandra,Cynthia, LeAnna and Paula.. Nephews:Hiram,Kalonji,Kirk,and Abdul, Sidney-adj .In-laws :James ,Franklin ,Kevin ,Robert,and Jason and Mustafa,Saute . Brother and Sister in-laws Mary,Barbra, Elaine, Euzelia, Joan, Ona,Naomi,Theresa-adj, Benjamin King and Benjamin Brown and Oscar, Samuel-adj. Her closest friends Diane Humbert, Linda Alston and Connie Richardson and many more Cousins and Friends
