Jeanine Taylor

Jeanine "Nie Nie" Taylor, age 52, passed away peacefully in the presence of her daughter on December 6, 2019. Nie Nie was born on August 6, 1967 in Staten Island, N.Y. to Maureen Moody and Charles Taylor. Nie Nie graduated from Susan B. Wagner High School and worked for Australian and New Zealand Bank in New York, N.Y. Nie Nie later worked as a Secretary and Direct Support Assistant for Staten Island Developmental Disabilities Service Office (SIDDSO).

Nie Nie graduated from the College of Staten Island (CSI) with a Bachelor’s in business administration.

Nie Nie was a strong independent woman who lived for her daughter and always put her family first. Nie Nie enjoyed music, crafting with her daughter, crocheting, reading, playing quick draw and let’s not forget the casino. Nie Nie can fix just about anything and I mean anything you needed fix she had the tools to do it.

Nie Nie is survived by her daughter Sydney A. Mills: husband Alfred Mills: sister Jennifer Taylor; brother/ cousin Kevin “PoP” Valentine; brother Charles Taylor: half-sister Daniella Taylor; and god-sister Keisha Bishop; aunts Paula Spicer, Ayana Valentine, Patricia Mason, Nancy Mayberry; uncles Raymond Gorbea and Edward Mason; mother in-law Jaqueline Mills; nieces and nephews Dakisha, Jackie, Deanna, Jamal, Jermaine, Corind, DeShawn and Debraun; and a host of cousins; family and friends.

Nie Nie was preceded in death by her parents Maureen Moody and Charles Taylor.

Nie Nie will be remembered as a great Mother, Sister, Wife and missed by all that knew her. Her memory will always be cherished in our hearts.
