Clarence E. Matthews

     Mr. Clarence Edward Matthews, (a.k.a.), Ebbut, Brucie, CC, and Uncle IE was born to parents, the late Elijah Walker, Jr. and Rosa L Matthews Walker on June 25, 1940.  Clarence departed his earthly life on August 19, 2018 at Staten Island Care Center.

     Clarence received his education in the Public Schools of Clarendon County in South Carolina where he graduated from Manning Training High School in 1959.  In the early sixties he served in the United States Army and was Honorably discharged and continued service as a reservist and started his career in Queens, NY as a truck driver.  He met and then later married Loviedean Lefore who preceded him in death in 2009.

     Clarence was blessed with two sons; Joseph Dash and a stepson Anthony Lefore.  He was also blessed with two grandchildren; Justin Clarke and Imania Dash.

     Clarence leaves to cherish his memory; his two sons and two grandchildren.  Sisters; Maggie L. Nixon of Corona, Queens; Emma L. Cunningham, preceded him in death; Zella R. Grantham of New York, NY Georgia M. Lynch

(Hayward); of Raleigh, NC; Annie L. Mouzon (Walt) of Lexington, S.C.  Brothers; Horace Walker (Lelia) of Rock Hill, S.C.;Jewel Walker of Columbia, S.C.  Aunt; Dorothy Berrios of Beaumont, CA.  Uncle Willie F. Luddley of Wendell, NC.  A plethora of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
