Pearlie Pearson Also Known as Pearlie Mae was born on October 18th,1946 in Garysburg, North Carolina to Elder Joseph & Louise Banks. Pearl was the second of eleven children. She grew up in Garysburg, North Carolina than later moved to Staten Island New York in 1963 where she called home. Pearlie departed this life December 15th, 2023.

Pearlie Mae met the love of her life James Pearson they got married, and together they embarked on a beautiful journey of parenthood. Pearlie Pearson and James Pearson was a true team, they shared the joys and challenges, supporting each other steps of the way. Their union was built on love, and mutual respect. Which created a positive foundation for their family.

Pearlie Mae Pearson devoted 10 years to Willow brook state school, and 25 years of her life to the South Beach Psychiatric Center as a RN, where she served with dedication and compassion. Her commitment to her work was a testament to her caring nature. Through her service, she provided comfort and support to those in need, leaving an enduring mark on the lives she touched. Her selflessness and dedication exemplify the qualities of a true hero.

Deeply rooted in her faith, Pearlie Pearson found peace in her time spent at church: St. Paul Apostolic Faith Church, 11 Pike Street, S.I.N.Y. It was within those sacred walls that she found strength, guidance, and a sense of community. Her faith was a guiding light in her life, providing her with comfort and hope during challenging times. Her devotion to her spiritual beliefs was an inspiration to all who knew her.

When she wasn't at work or in church, Pearlie enjoyed indulging in two of her favorite hobbies: shopping and watching her soap operas. when it came to her TV time, she sat in her recliner chair with her remote and did not let ANYONE change the channel.  Her independence was immaculate, she explored the aisles, finding joy in discovering treasures and sharing her stylish finds, she enjoyed cooking Sunday dinner and going to local pantries. Pearlie enjoyed driving even when she became sick, she was so independent, she wanted to do everything on her own, she owned a series of cars such as an Eldorado, a Cadillac, and a Toyota. 

In the presence of Pearlie Mae, we experienced a love that was unmatched. She was loving, fiercely protective, sweet, and outgoing. Her genuine affection touched the lives of all who knew her. Her feisty spirit reminded us to stand tall in the face of adversity. Her sweetness brought comfort in times of sorrow, and her outgoing nature filled our lives with laughter and joy. Pearlie was the definition of strong determined woman. Her wisdom, guidance and unconditional love will be forever in our memories.

Proceeded her in death: Her parents Elder Joseph & Louise Banks, 2 sisters: Annie Pearl Jones & Queen Esther Banks,3 Brothers Joseph Banks Jr, Elijah Banks, & Joshua Banks, 1 Daughter Brenda Pearson, she leaves to cherish her legacy, 1 Son: Raymond Banks 3 Daughters: Jeanette Pearson, Ella Pearson, & Sabrina Pearson. 5 Siblings: Geraldine Gibson, Lydia Banks,Samuel Banks,Bishop-Desgnate Moses & Vanessa Banks, Cleophus Banks. 12 Grandchildren Brianna Pearson, Montasia Dudley, Lamont Dudley Jr, Anthony Clanton Jr, Taheita Pearson, Amir Pearson, Dante Rumph, Kayla Velazquez, Ja-Shawn Syce, Raymond Banks Jr, Paris Raymond Dutton, & Heaven Ruby Pearly Mea Banks. 13: Great-grandchildren.
