David Michael Caldwell was born along the side of his twin sister Donna on May 20, 1957 at St. John Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. Son of Albert Caldwell and Virginia Davis Caldwell of Staten Island. His parents, twin sister and brother Roland D. Caldwell all preceded him in death. On Wednesday December 20, 2017, God called him home to rest.
    David was blessed with the gift to take apart, build and fix electronics and automobiles. At the age of the 12 he got into trouble for taking apart electronics he found around the house and rebuilding it to his satisfaction. As an adult his passion advanced and he constructed a career as a mechanic. He loved working on cars for his family and even passed down his knowledge and legacy as a mechanic to his son David Jr. 
    David had a big heart, he was always helping others before helping himself. He was a joker and always got the party started playing the role of the D.J. at the house and block parties in the neighborhood. David leaves behind to cherished his memories; son David Michael Caldwell Jr., grandson David Caldwell III, brothers Albert Gregory Caldwell and Melvin L. Caldwell, sisters Marilynn R. Edwards and Doreen Dawkins and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
