Claudette Gloria Cheatham

February 13, 1951 - June 7, 2017

        Claudette Gloria Cheatham was born February 13, 1951 in Brooklyn NY to the Late Claudia M. Cheatham and John Metz. Claudette was the eldest sibling of three with two brothers Kevin and Clarence Cheatham. Throughout her life she worked at the formerly known Willowbrook, Mattel Inc. and Stella Orton. She was well loved by many throughout her community.

        She provided child care services for many around the neighborhood for little or no monetary gain. It was the kindness in heart to always lend a helping hand that kept her energized. She was outspoken and wouldn't hesitate to express her beliefs. Claudette accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in 2000 and was shortly baptized thereafter. Claudette was known for her strength and perseverance. In 2004 her strength and perseverance would be tested when she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer.

        Claudette would successfully win the fight against ovarian cancer. Proving yet again her strength, perseverance and faith was not to be undone. She would go on to fight against many more health complications. However, throughout the highs and lows of her declining health she always remained smiling and positive.

Claudette was called home on June 7, 2017. Remaining are her 3 children Frances, John and Ronnell Cheatham. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
