Carrie Lee Caldwell was born to the late Alex Caldwell and Annie Mae Campbell in Bessemer Alabama on August 13, 1948.  Carrie was reared in her early years with her southern culture that she held near and dear to her heart.

The love of God and family was her lifelong commitment in every aspect of her life.  Praising God was her daily pleasure as her smile reflected her joy in every moment of her family’s accomplishments.  Carrie joined her Christian worship experience with the Mount Sinai United Christian Church in 2002.  She lifted her voice with the choir singing her songs of praises to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Carrie was known for her famous meals that could feed a community, yes her southern cuisines was known to many for her traditional Sunday dinners as well as her holiday favorites. Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, Easter and every other occasion all had her touch of love embedded in a special recipe that reflected love.

After a scrumptious meal, one could always depend on her wit and knowledge related to any topic.  Anyone who knew Carrie, knew that her name stands for truth, honesty, and integrity as these qualities were a genuine part of her characteristics.  Her chic style of fashion would only complement her inner beauty that reflected her poise and grace.  A true virtuous woman of God, Proverb 31: 10 – 31 expresses every fiber of Carrie’s faith based principles.

Carrie Lee Caldwell was fond of karate flicks and westerns. She jokingly referred to herself as “Carrie Lee Caldwell the sister to Bruce Lee.  Carrie was also known for her fiery disposition that could shoot you a left hook and flying kick that would leave you laughing so hard that you never knew you had been hit with a zinger of truth that was a lifelong lesson.

Carrie lived, laughed and enjoyed life. She was always jubilant when serving her family.  Her children’s smiles and accomplishments were her truest claim to fame.  Carrie’s career path led her to work for the New York Telephone Company and The New York City Department of Correction.  She graduated from Taylor Business Institute with a degree in Business Management.

As an accomplished Mother, Carrie Lee continued to impart her love and wisdom into the next generation, her grandchildren. As her grandchildren’s caretaker, she nurtured each one to love, live their truth, and honor God so that their true beauty will reflect God’s Glory.
