Barbara Mckoy –Cummings 76, of Hopewell Virginia went to be with the Lord on June 14, 2017 at Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island N.Y. Born in Harlem Hospital on June 20, 1940. She was then brought to Staten Island where she resided for 50 years. She worked at Brooklyn Developmental Center for 30 years. She was preceded in death by her first husband Rudolph Mckoy Sr., of that union were two children Darlene Mckoy and Rudolph Mckoy Jr. She was also precede in death by her husband Richard Lane Cummings. They were married in 1985. They retired in Hopewell Virginia where she was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. Barbara liked to travel, dance and spend time with her family and friends. She is survived by her 2 children, 4 sisters: Merle Little, June Taylor, Alma Warner and Donna Adams; 2 brothers Sherman and Raymond Rice. Her brothers Herman Victor Rice and Gary Rice preceded her in death. She will be deeply missed by her 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.
